The IoT Forum is delighted to announce that the 2014 IoT Week will be hosted in London between Monday 16th June and Friday 20th June at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel located in the heart of the city. IoT Week originated in European IoT Research Cluster to become the pre-eminent event attracting industry and academia from around the world. Building on the successes of Helsinki, Venice and Barcelona, IoT Week London continues the journey, bringing focus to the emerging opportunities; connecting the global business and research communities innovating at the boundaries of IoT; promoting international collaboration and addressing societal and market issues. Additionally, IoT Week 2014 will be highly participatory with a dedicated Hackathon track, a focus on connected products and, for the first time, IoT Forum Awards to recognize contributions made in collaboration, innovation and excellence.

The ICT event 2013 in Vilnius was a huge hit with over 6000 participants. And the IoT Forum did not miss out. The IoT Forum participated in a joint booth with the IoT-A project and we also had our first General Assembly in Vilnius at the same time.

Ten of the founding organisations were present and we had several guests join the meeting. Including colleagues from VTT, NEC, IoT Competitiveness Forum Brazil, DERI and the IoT Council.

The Articles of Association were updated, the board members were confirmed as well as the work group leaders. And we set out the agenda for 2014, including our flagship event, the IoT week 2014, which will be held in London in June.
